Public Announcement
Effective July 1st, 12:00 am, Rocky Point Fire & EMS will be temporarily unavailable for Medical Transports.
This morning, we received an email from the ambulance advisory board stating that they have exhausted all efforts to find a physician advisor for Rocky Point Fire & EMS.
After the resignation of the previous Chief, it was brought to our attention that our Medical Director would also be resigning on June 30, 2025. During this transition, finding a replacement for our Medical Director has been our top priority. We have contacted the Klamath County Ambulance Advisory Board, the Sky Lakes Medical Emergency Department, and the Klamath County Commissioners, but have had no success.
For the safety of our community, this must be resolved as soon as possible.
Rocky Point Fire & EMS will not be able to transport with our ambulance until we have a new physician in place. We will respond with an engine and stabilize patients until the appointed ambulance arrives from Klamath Falls.
How can I help?
Contact your county commissioners at the emails below and share your concerns.
